Marae trip
When we arrived Nic and Elly's classes welcomed us with a powhiri. We felt excited, a bit nervous and it was odd knowing we wouldn't be doing one for anyone else!

Storytelling practise
To get ready for our marae trip we have been creating our own myths and legends. In the old days the maroi language was not a written language so to pass on stories and history the maori had to tell each other the ideas and information. To try to understand this we have made up our stories but we have not written them down. We have drawn them!! Now we are practising hard everyday to be ready to share our stories at camp and with our little buddies. We have ro use our faces, our bodies, our arms and our voices to show different people, places, and the things that are happening.
Here are some of the children practising to themselves.

Putting learning styles into place
For the last 3 weeks we have been trying to figure what kind of learners each of us is. What we need to learn well and what stops us from making progress. We have worked with Suzanne and Joy and each other to identify our attributes. We have watched some video of circus acts because different types of people would do different types of acts just like different people think and work differently.
